Polish city is looking for partners |
|
Stalowa Wola is located at the River San, in the former Sandomierska Forests. It has the population of 65.000 people and area of 80sq. km. Stalowa Wola is a new town and it was the youngest town of the Second Republic of Poland, erected in 1937-1939 within the framework of the Central Industrial Region.
Balanced and sustainable development of the city is extremely important to the citizens and local authorities. In the very city, there are undertaken many activities on the development of urban infrastructure and human resources. During the last 6 months, the city has had 12 projects running, all of which co-financed by the EU (please see the documents below). The total amount of these projects is 40 million EUR.
Currently, the Municipality is seeking potential partners for its project proposal called "WE ARE EMPLOYED - challenge for the city – chance for citizens". The main aim of the project is to exchange experience, define and implement best solutions improving situation on local labour markets. Planned activities are as follows:
1.Organizing workshops, conferences and meetings.
2.Launching research to analyze the situation on local labour markets and define long term directions of the labour market's development.
3.Preparing and issuing the guide of good practices related to the improvement of the situation on the town’s labour market.
4.Implementing the best solutions into local strategies.
5.Buying multimedia equipment needed for international workshops/conferences/meetings organized in the frames of the project in the Innovation and technology centre owned by Stalowa Wola Community (translators booth and translators equipment, touch board, equipment for teleconferences, microphones, sound system).
6.Project promotion (leaflets, briefings in media, posters, website).
