Portuguese organisation looking for partner (Measure 2.2) |
|
Associaçăo Cidadania Viva (ACV) is a portuguese non-profit non-governmental youth organization based in Amadora, just outside Lisbon and founded in 1999. They work with non-formal education, interculturality and social inclusion, targeting young people from different geographical, cultural and social backgrounds with ages from 15 to 30 years old. Their mission is to empower young people through their ingenious and art, turning them into active citizens in their community in support of a sustainable development.
They’re preparing an application for a project (for the next deadline, June 1) under action 1, measure 2.2 of the Europe for Citizens programme (http://ec.europa.eu/citizenship/index_en.htm) and looking for partner organizations from participating countries (check the list below) to join them.

Programme:
Europe for Citizens, action 1, measure 2.2 - Support measures

Location:
- Lisbon, Portugal (kick-off meeting, training session, evaluation meeting)
- Partner organizations' countries (local information sessions)
Dates:
The project will start in December 2011 and last for 1 year
Partners:
Federations / associations of local authorities or other bodies with specific knowledge / experience of citizenship. Must be based in participating countries (27 EU countries, Albania, Croatia and Macedonia)
Summary:
The main objective of this project is promoting Europe for Citizens programme among youth organizations working with active citizenship for young people (with some attention to young people with fewer opportunities).
Each partner organization will:
- promote and develope the exchange of good practices between organizations which are both interested in the programme and in promoting active citizenship among young people;
- foster the establishment of long-lasting partnerships and networks which are able to reach a considerable number of different stakeholders (with special attention to young working as multiplier agents / peers);
- develop and strengthen all actions within the programme directed to potential intervenients, especially actively involved young citizens in the construction of the future of Europe.

- A brief description of your organization and how you can contribute to this project (activities, ideas, similar past experiences, etc.);
- Name of project coordinator / contact person, direct email address and phone number.
The deadline to reply this call is Monday, May 30, 2011, at 24:00 (GMT).
