Romanian organization looking for partners |

Romanian Society for Lifelong Learning is looking for NGOs to join a project in the field of raising awareness on environment and climatic changes among disadvantaged children.
Interested NGOs should be either:
- organizations active in the environment field (preferably working also with disadvantaged adults and children)
- or organizations that focus on services for disadvantaged adults and children and have implemented some activities in the environment field.
We are looking for partners that are based only in EU member countries.
Interested NGOs should send a presentation of their organization to office@srep.ro by 15th January 2009.
Summary of the project:
The number of the population affected by the climatic changes is increasing with 50% (Oxfam International). The project aims at raising awareness on the effects of climate change in the day to day activities of people, especially in disadvantaged areas.
By means of the project the partners wish to teach the families in disadvantaged areas how to protect efficiently the environment they live in.
Overall objectives of this project:
- Inform and raise awareness on the climate change among children and adults from disadvantaged areas
- Combating poverty and social exclusion by facilitating the access to education of the disadvantaged families
- Promoting knowledge and intercultural dialog between the citizens of the EU countries.
Target group: families with children in disadvantaged areas that do not have access to information.
Products: Needs analysis, Curriculum on ecology, workshops, contest of eco-projects, eco-booklet, project website, final dissemination conference, project CD.
