Finnish organization looking for partner |
|
The Green Cultural Association ViSiLi (http://www.visili.fi) is submitting a project application to the Europe for Citizens Programme (Action 2: Active civil society in Europe). We are seeking two partners from other EU countries, specifically NGOs with an emphasis on environmental issues (i.e. climate change).
ViSiLi published a guidebook “10 Steps to Better Voluntary Work” in Finnish in September 2010. The training course and workshop are based on this publication, which explains explicitly ten logical steps towards better-functioning volunteering. The whole subject is extremely relevant this year – the European Year of Volunteering 2011.
Outline for the project
Application deadline: 1.2.2011
Applicant: The Green Cultural Association ViSiLi
General topic: Environment; climate change
Project name/acronym: 10 Steps
Activities: Workshop and training, publication (translation from Finnish), website
Participants: 8+8 from two other EU countries, 4 from Finland (20 all together)
Partner in Finland: Kansalaisareena ry/Citizen Forum
Partners from other EU countries: Environmentally oriented NGOs
The role of the partners: Find/recruit participants for the workshop, support in travel arrangements etc.
Budget: Lump sum (according to the number of participants and days, communication tools – both fixed amounts). NB! The budget covers the participants’ travel and accommodation costs and also the communication tools: translation of texts for the publication and project website. This means that all partners have to contribute voluntary work to the project.
Place and date of activities: Helsinki, 26.-29.9.2011 (Mon-Fri)
Preliminary program for the workshop/training course:
Monday – Inspiration
