The characteristics of the organisation:
Our department plays a role of mediator between inhabitants and housing companies, provides regulation of services to municipal houses, monitoring of city environment. We have an experience in the implementation of European projects in different spheres (INTERREG IV A; ERAF; ESF).
Areas of responsibility:
1. Assistance in housing issues.
2. Management of municipal and social houses.
3. Heating services and development, planning of energy efficiency.
4. Organization of water supply and planning sewerage services’ development.
5. Creating the structure for dwelling houses’ management.
6. Providing services of rent board.
7. Controlling environment’s protection.
8. Cemeteries’ maintenance and organization of cemetery services.
According to Development Strategy the main objective of Riga’s development is to raise residents’ living conditions, which have to be based on three pillars – economy, urban environment and society. Riga’s future development is based on the interaction between these three pillars.
