Description of Stara Zagora Regional Economic Development Agency (SZREDA)
Stara Zagora Regional Economic Development Agency (SZREDA) is founded in 1995 offers business consultancy and training with a wide scope, with special interest in SME support services and regional development, EU funded regional development and SME support services.
SZREDA is a non-profit organization, dedicated to the assistance and support of small and medium sized enterprises in their quest for financial stability, growth and entry into the national and international market; working to support local governments and mobilize the capacity of various institutions to achieve comprehensive economic development of the region.
SZREDA is a member of the Bulgarian Association of Regional Development Agencies and Business Centers (BARDA) and the regional representative of the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency, the Bulgarian Foreign Investment Agency and the Bulgarian Trade Promotion Agency.

Project description
Main objectives
To learn more about the everyday life of citizens from different parts of Europe
To wake up in the citizens the sense of belonging to a community that has its “twins” sharing the same values in other EU countries.
To discover the possibilities of an alternative approach in creating a network
To compare how the Linden tree is represented in different European cities.
To involve young people in different forums on cultural values and local history
To give the chance to youth to express their vision of the Linden trees during an exchange period
To promote local symbols and history among citizens
Main activities
Creation of a network between different NGOs and civil society organizations
Organisation of one or more visits to compare how the Linden tree is represented in the culture
Organising youth forum/art summer school promoting EU citizenship and conservation of local history
Creation of a web site
Drafting a code of good practice in creating a network using city symbols/alternative methods
Travelling exhibition of the products made by the children during the youth forum
Final products
Web site
Blog section for exchange of ideas and visions of young people
Handbook on using city symbols/alternative methods
Traveling exhibition
Printed material (book/album) including each participating city/region/country and its unique way to introduce the Linden tree in the culture
